In addition to the interest in the Great Wall of China and the fact that Badaling is the longest site open for visiting, there are other factors contributing to this popularity of this particular site. Firstly, it is very easy to get to the Badaling section. Daily round-trip buses and high-speed trains go. Secondly, there is a fairly well-developed tourism infrastructure.

Symatay is one of the few segments that retained the original appearance of the 14th century. On the bricks, the wall is made of, the date when they were laid, and the number of the military unit involved in the construction are indicated. This is the only site open in the evening.
