Some of the sections that are mostly visited by the tourists are, Juyongguan Pass Great Wall, Badaling Great Wall, Shixlaguan Great Wall, Huanghuacheng Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall, Gubeiko Great Wall, Jinshanling Great Wall and the Simatai Great Wall, and every section has its own beauty and features to mesmerize you.
The Badaling Great Wall is the first step of the journey to the Great Wall. This part is fully renovated, restored and is immensely populated, by the local people, visitors, vehicles, etc. As you go to the wild sections, you will find the originality, including the dilapidated parts, urban lands, over grown wild parts, slippery slopes, loose steps, etc. The next most visited section is the Jinshanling Great Wall that is at a 2.5 hours-drive away from Beijing. Next is Jiankou Great Wall, which is at a distance of about 30 km from Huairou County town. It bridges over to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most visited parts of the Wall. With its 23 watch towers and lush green surroundings of pines and cypresses, covering 90% of the area, it is extravagantly beautiful.
Among all the other sections of the Wall, there are three parts that have not been officially recognized- the Jiankou Great Wall, Mutianyu Great in the east, and Dazhenyu Great Wall, in the west. The second is the Datong Great Wall made up of earth and clay. The third is the Hebei Great Wall, which is considered as the most luxurious part of the Wall.
The best season for you to make a trip to the Wall is autumn, as during this time, the essence of blooms and the greenery adds to the scenery a zeal that cannot be experienced otherwise.
