The Great Wall of China: Visiting the Great Wall of China is must when on a tour to Beijing. You can climb the wall at Juyongguan, Mutianyu Simatai, Jinshanling or Badaling amongst others. The Great Wall has been cited as a heritage site by the UNISCO.   3. Tinanmen Square: This is a site where most of the protests were held in the past. It is built on more than 100 acres of land making it the biggest square in the whole world. During major events, the flag of China is hoisted and lowered here amides huge gatherings of people. Many parades also passed through this area.
  4. Summer Place: Also known by the name Royal Garden Museum, it was built in the year 1750 and made out of Kunming Lake and Wanshou hill. There are lots of creative things to watch in the gardens. The relic’s collection here has earned the place the title of world heritage in the year 1998. It was used as a resort by the emperors and is considered as the largest in China.
  5. Beijing zoo : One must pay a visit to the Beijing zoo which has about 5000 variety of animals and 450 species. Here large variety of marine life can also be seen. The major attraction in the zoo is the Panda hall where large pandas are kept. It is especially good place to visit for nature enthusiast and children alike.
